Every building should have a fire escape plan in place in case of an emergency. Often neglected, a fire evacuation drill has to be mandatorily instituted in a workplace setting. A fire escape floor plan has to be readily-available so that all occupants know exactly the procedures to follow in a fire strike.

It includes a detailed building map with clearly marked egress routes, meeting points and the location of important fire-related infrastructure.
